Once documentation is approved, your project moves into Procurement - where selections are costed, sourced, and coordinated for construction or installation. At this stage, we finalise quotations and approve all materials, fixtures, and finishes.

You may choose between Studio Rae Managed Procurement, where we oversee ordering, availability, and delivery logistics, or Builder Managed Procurement, where your builder handles ordering using our complete documentation package. In both cases, we remain available to support and ensure the design is executed with integrity.

Part Two is the technical realisation of your approved design, where we produce your full Detailed Documentation Suite - a construction-ready package outlining every specification, elevation, joinery detail, and product selection. These documents ensure seamless communication with trades and preserve the integrity of your design throughout construction.

Final approval and payment are required before release, marking the completion of the Design Documentation Presentation stage.

Detailed Documentation

Part One brings every element of your design together with cohesion and intent. We refine spatial layouts, finalise material and finish selections, and curate a comprehensive visual presentation - including material boards, colour palettes, fixtures, fittings, and product imagery - to clearly communicate the full design direction.

You’ll review all materials in a dedicated presentation meeting, with preliminary quotations and supplier estimates completed to ensure selections align with your budget. One round of revisions is included before approval, signatures, and payment, allowing us to progress confidently into Part Two.

Design Presentation

Once your concept is approved, we move into Design Documentation - where vision becomes detail. This stage translates your design into technical drawings and specifications, ready for construction and quoting.

At this stage, moodboards evolve into detailed drawings, custom joinery takes shape, and you’ll see scaled 3D perspectives of your home complete with accurate materials. The process is delivered in two parts to maintain precision, collaboration, and confidence at every step.

DESIGN & DOCUMENTATION

Once your signed proposal, contract, and deposit are received, the creative process begins. During the Concept Development phase, we define the vision, mood, and direction for your project - translating your goals into a cohesive design story.

Our team explores spatial flow, materials, and finishes to ensure each concept feels both inspired and achievable. You’ll receive a Concept Presentation with moodboards and material direction, offering clarity before moving into the next stage of your Studio Rae design journey.

One round of revisions is included to refine the details before final approval and progression to the following phase.

CONCEPTUAL PHASE

Once you’ve booked your Discovery Call, we’ll discuss your goals, vision, and the level of support you’re seeking. From there, we’ll arrange your Initial Consultation - a two-hour on-site meeting ($300 fee, redeemable against your design package) where we explore your project in depth.

Before we meet, you’ll complete a Client Questionnaire to help us understand your lifestyle and aesthetic preferences. Following the consultation, you’ll receive a tailored Project Proposal outlining your scope, fees, and next steps - marking the beginning of your Studio Rae design journey.

DISCOVERY & CONSULTATION

The process

If your package includes our Styling Suite, furniture procurement begins in this phase. We allow approximately 16 weeks for furniture and décor ordering to accommodate lead times for bespoke and designer pieces, ensuring every item is perfectly suited to your space and arrives in time for installation and styling. While Studio Rae does not offer project management, we remain involved throughout construction - liaising with your builder and attending key site visits to confirm design accuracy and support where needed.

The Procurement and Ordering phase brings preparation and precision together - transforming approved designs into tangible outcomes and setting the foundation for a seamless construction process. THE STYLING SUITE

As your project nears completion, the final phase brings your vision to life. If you’ve engaged our Styling Suite, we coordinate the delivery and installation of all furnishings and décor, adding the final layer of refinement to your home. During this stage, we conduct site visits to ensure every element has been installed as designed and make any final adjustments needed for a seamless finish.

Once complete, we walk through the space with you to ensure every detail meets Studio Rae’s standard of quality - marking the beginning of life in a home crafted with care, precision, and intention.
