This contemporary kitchen forms part of a full home renovation and extension in Mayfield, NSW. The new open-plan layout features burnished concrete floors, a seven-metre run of neutral timber veneer cabinetry, and a sculptural porcelain island as the focal point. Integrated appliances, a downdraft cooktop, and a deep Butler’s Pantry sink maintain a clean, minimal aesthetic - allowing the materials and craftsmanship to speak with clarity and intent.

This luxury residence in Crangan Bay embraces a rich, modern palette grounded in natural stone, sculptural forms, and subtle Spanish influences. Designed as part of our Signature Suite, every element - from flooring and lighting to hardware, joinery, and material selections - was meticulously curated to create a home that feels layered, expressive, and deeply refined. Jewel-toned stone, walnut timbers, and organic curves anchor each space, resulting in an interior that balances sophistication with an inviting, lived-in elegance.

This North Sydney apartment required a thoughtful approach to form, flow, and functionality. Studio Rae was engaged to design custom cabinetry throughout, integrate a murphy bed for flexible living, and fully style the home to create a refined, luxurious space within a compact footprint.

Custom Joinery & Styling Suite

Thoughtful design in a small apartment is all about form, function, and flow - especially when every centimetre must work hard to elevate the way you live.

In the original layout, the timber pantry occupied the now–bar location, while a blank, unused wall sat opposite, wasting valuable space. By reversing the two zones, we transformed the void into a custom bar that extends the kitchen and frames the apartment’s beautiful outlook.

The redesign adds generous storage, a second fridge, mirrored elements to enhance light and visual space, and discreet pop-out work benches tucked beneath the natural quartzite benchtop - creating a functional, luxurious and highly considered extension of the home

Our scope included new flooring, updated paint, custom-designed joinery - including a bespoke TV unit and expanded wardrobe room finished with a complete furniture styling suite to create a cohesive, modern coastal aesthetic. Every material and piece specified within this scope was intentionally chosen to enhance function, warmth, and flow throughout the home.
